10 Ways This Blog Helped Me Understand About English

• From assignment 1 I understand what's the purpose of why learning English. English is everywhere around my life and how I got my feeling when I'm using it.
• I have never use English to write a blog. This class had made my first time and I actually like it. when I look back to all the blogs that I did I feel proud. I really enjoy it.
• One of the homework for 459 class is to make a google map to show where is the place I first learn English. I wrote my experience on the map and clarify the detail. I found out that I was having so much fun learning English when I was little. It also discover my styles of learning English. 
• I never know there are many different English learning styles. I have learn it from VARK. I took a test to get the result and how I like to know more about my learning styles.
• One of the rewrite essay makes me felt that I'm improving my writing skills. I fix every mistakes that I can fix in my rewrite. I really like this kind of practice because you will know your mistakes and hope never repeat it again 
• There are many places to practice English and Learn English. Our group found 3 places that can help us to learn English. This assignment is really useful and fun. One of the place is restroom, that really make us to think why a restroom can help us to learn English. 
• I made a google account because of this class, I type few words of where I can use English and how I use English in my daily life. I really enjoy this assignment because that makes me think and actually want to speak in English to many people.
• I can say I rarely type English so I type kind of slow. This blog helped me practice typing. I can type more faster now.
• I have explored people's blog. Practice reading English can also learn. Some of the blogs are pretty funny.
• The last assignment is list ten reasons of how I like to learn English by using this blog. There are too many things that I can use or learn from this blog, I really enjoy useing it. I've learned a lot of things from each assignments and I'm have so much fun. I can fool around and also learing, this is the way of learning that fit me the most.

My Learning Blog

My English 459 teacher asked the students to make and write a blog. I stared to like English and improved. My blog helps me understand about how I like to learn.


In beginning, one of the earliest assignments for the blog was to write on Twitter. I’ve found that I like to write sentences on my blog I notice that the best ways to practice English are to communicate with people and to read every word around me. Furthermore the blog helps to bring back many memories and emotions while I’d worked on “My First English Experience” assignment. It reminds me of my five year journey from a scholar who knew nothing about English growing into a scholar who now have the abilities and knowledge to write an essay. It recreates my curiosity for learning and I like to have a curious mind. Finally, I remember an assignment about answering three questions. The questions asked deeply into the root of what Learning English means to me. It helps me memorize how I like learning and how important my learning education affects my future life.

In brief, my blog helps me to understand how much love learning. The assignments are good for practicing. I find enjoyment while writing my blog.

Twitter and Daily English

Twitter is a popular website in America and many countries. I use Twitter every day. I have some good ideas from Twitter about how to use daily English.


First of all, I use Twitter as a record for every way for English Learning. I keep record of every English vocabulary and novel I learn and read each day. Sometimes I am impressed how many activities that involve English. In addition, Twitter is a great place to learn more English. The site bar from the Twitter page shows a daily vocabulary with full definition. It helps some lazy students like me to understand the word more easily and use it in a conversation with a friend. Finally, Twitter provides not only a record of daily English and vocabulary study, but it gives many little pieces if information about American Twitter Users. The site bar below vocabulary Learning is a little data that shows some daily popular searches. It analyzes what most Americans look online every day.

In conclusion, Twitter can be helpful in many different ways to match each Learning Style. Everyone needs only a little patient and creative idea that work best for them. I have ideas to use daily English and it matches me perfectly.

Learning Styles

There are many learning styles, but we prefer three in particular. Each style offers different ways of learning English. Everyone will have different opinion of each learning style. First of all, we choose Auditory Style because our ears will receive sound and information 24/7. It's less frustrating and boring to hear sombody's words. By listerning to the radio we will found out more information and informal sentences use in daily lives or words and learn the pronouceation. Furthermore, our second option is learning through signs and images. Many children first learn English pictures through loooking at its proves that its' easier to understand. Not even children use colors, shapes and images of places to help to understand the meaning better. We will use our eyes to record useful memories. Last of all, We use Global Learning to skim articles and novels to get overall information. Skipping the details straight to the important point. We use Global Learning to found out the big picture or idea to guess the author's true message. In conclusion, auditoty, visual and global styler are easy to use in every situation in our daily lives. All three styles could use in many ways at the same time. The combination fit prefectly in all kind of lauguage education, especially English.

3 Places To Learn English

In the coffee shop, people like to buy the food and drink there. When they buy the food, they speak in English and they can learn some new words in there. After them buy the food,they like to eat there and talk to the Friends. There is the best place the to learn English.

In the restroom, girls or boys can create their little private talk with people from their gender.For example, gilrs or boys can talk about the look of the person their intersting in  by using alot of adjectives and nouns to describe that person.

The Art Gallery.Visual learner and Read/Write.In Art Gallery we can see many pictures and just by looking all the art works help us understand the meaning of the work. Reading the text undrt the art works can also learn many vocabularies.

Re-write An Unwaken Nightmare In The English Learning

My first experience with learning English was not good. I remembering every memories about my English learning is bad since my first lesson in Garvey Intermediate, I walked into the ESL class for starter. First of all, most words were misheard by me when it came to listen to the teacher. I was a fresh scholar to English. My ears and brain were not trained well to receive most English letters like the native speakers. For example, I could not hear the different between "they're" or "there" and "can" or "can't". Furthermore, my experience about misheard words was terrible, but I even mispronounced a lot of words. The fact is, I am an Asian and therefore I was not used to pronounce a certain letters from the English Alphabet. The pronunciation has made me feel very uncomfortable till now. Finally, I found that nothing is worst than low knowledge in vocabularies, because it will lead to a big misunderstand. History was my most enjoyable subject in campus, however, since I could not fully understand the teacher's ideas or the texts in the textbook. I could not feel as enjoy as I would like in my hometown. In brief, my first English experience was unpleasant. The experience was as dark as nightmare, and unluckily I have not wakened since the first lesson in my ESL class.

The Bridge

Learning English is interesting for me.English is a world wide language. It is used in many countries. Firstly, English is the most important communicating tool in Americans' lives. Americans greet each other by English words,because i'm now living in the United States, i need to make English a part of my daily words.I listern to news and broadcasters to inprove my skills and guide me to the Americans lives. Secondly, English use in many different places. It helps forgeiners to understand more cluture by knowing English. For example, i came to the United States of America, a country that covering a rich-mix in different races; i want to gain knowledge from other cultures and share my own learning with other people. Lastly, English Education is a temptation to me. I want this key to open the door of my success. My goal is to find a career in the U.S. Inconclusion, English gives me an oppotunity to look beyond my view to learn things and to meet many other people. I get to discover my live could be even brighter than i could imagine.

Q1) Why are you studying English?

A) Honestly, i don't know why i studying English from the start; My parents took me to US and i was forced to go to American schools. I was confusing at that time, but after the first day of school, i found my reason. i was bullied by my big-classmates because they misheard my words and i was misunderstanding their statements. i could not communicating with anyone, could not tell them my feeling. I scared the school, however, the separation with this world was even more fearful. i Knew if i want to had friends and live a better live then i have to fight fear; the first battle is to conquer English.


Q2) Do you use English very much when you're not in this class?


A)I often speak English with my little brother, cousins , and friends in every conversations; I use English as much as possible like reading a novel, listen to the news , posting comments or messages on blog, and chatting on Face book, moreover i try to relax in make English to come a part of my daily activities by literally critically thinking in English.


Q3)How do you feel when you use English? Are you sometimes nervous, comfortable, or...?

A)I feel enjoyable and interesting when I use English. Back at the first few years in my English Education, i was really nervous and shy because my English was not flowing,not understond any English words, however as time pass with many practices, now I become more skillful, a better English speaker, and a better reader, but sometime I still feel uncomfortable around the Native English Speakers.

English and An ESL Student

There are some things i want to improve about my English.
The first thing on my list is my ability in English Grammar; Grammar included so many different rules, each of the rules required a special way in handing it. English verbs are my weakest point, because it keeps changing the spelling in every different tense.
Another thing is my pronunciation. English is not my native language, there force, i could not pronounce some sound from the Alphabet like the "S" and the "R" sound. My communication skills did not reach the level with other, eventually, i lose my connection with my American cousins because we do not know how to express our felling through words. There are time i could not face other people in my high school; i had to hide my face when my classmates try to speak to me, some simple sentences in greeting was hard to run out from my mouth. I deeply want to practice my communication skills.
The very last thing of my list is the Writing techniques. I want to learn about how to use critical thinking while address a topic and organize it. Since, I often create weird thesis statement and not convening examples for my essay.

In concluded, i want to absorb as much knowledge as the class could province.
